TL;DR

The genome sequence of Aleuroclava gordoniae-associated polerovirus (AgAP), identified from the whitefly Aleuroclava gordoniae, is reported, providing a genomic resource for further investigation of virus–insect associations.

Abstract

ABSTRACT We report the genome sequence of Aleuroclava gordoniae-associated polerovirus (AgAP), identified from the whitefly Aleuroclava gordoniae. The 5,650-nt AgAP genome contains 6 open reading frames. Phylogenetic analysis places AgAP within the genus Polerovirus, which comprises plant-infecting viruses. This study provides a genomic resource for further investigation of virus–insect associations.

Draft genome sequence of the almond red leaf blotch pathogen Polystigma amygdalinum assembled from infected almond leaves collected in California, USA

ABSTRACT We report a draft genome assembly of Polystigma amygdalinum, the causal agent of almond red leaf blotch. DNA extracted from infected leaves was sequenced using PacBio HiFi, and host-derived reads were removed bioinformatically. The 238.7-Mb assembly (90.8% BUSCO completeness) is highly repetitive (82.3%) and u...

Genome sequence and assembly of endophyte Pseudomonas lini Can06R isolated from the roots of Chenopodium album L.

ABSTRACT The genome of endophyte Pseudomonas lini strain Can06R isolated from surface-sterilized roots of Chenopodium album L. was sequenced using an Illumina NextSeq 1000 platform and assembled with SPAdes. The assembly is 6,302,676 bp in length, has a GC content of 58.8%, and contains 5,730 predicted genes.

Complete genome sequences of four Ralstonia solanacearum phylotype IIB isolated from Musaceae plants in the Philippines

ABSTRACT We report complete genome sequences of four Ralstonia solanacearum strains from Philippine Musaceae plants. Genomes spanned 5.5–5.6 Mb (66.5% GC) and comprised a chromosome and megaplasmid; three strains additionally carried a small plasmid (146–190 kb). All four isolates were assigned to phylotype IIB-3.

The genome sequence of Gardnerycteris keenani (Chiroptera, Phyllostomidae, Stenodermatinae; Handley, 1960)

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Gardnerycteris keenani (Chordata; Mammalia; Chiroptera; Phyllostomidae). The genome sequence is 2.2 Gb in span. The majority of the assembly is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, with the X and Y sex chromosomes assembled.

Complete genome sequence of Sphingobacterium kitahiroshimense strain Ss8-5, isolated from a sclerotium of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum

ABSTRACT I report the complete genome sequence of Sphingobacterium kitahiroshimense strain Ss8-5, isolated from a sclerotium on a cabbage head affected by Sclerotinia rot. The complete genome consists of a single circular chromosome of 6.1 Mb with a GC content of 36.3%.
