Abstract
Sexual violence in educational settings is a human rights violation that requires effective legal protection. The enactment of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence (TPKS Law) provides a more comprehensive legal basis for guaranteeing victims' rights. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection for victims of sexual violence in educational settings and the obstacles to its implementation following the enactment of the TPKS Law. The study used a normative juridical method with a legislative and conceptual approach, analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the TPKS Law strengthens victim protection through legal aid, identity protection, recovery services, restitution, protection by the LPSK (Lembaga Penita Masyarakat, Witness, and Victim Protection Agency), as well as prevention and handling mechanisms in educational settings. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as weak institutions, low understanding of the TPKS Law, a patriarchal culture, limited recovery services, and suboptimal coordination between agencies. This study concludes that effective legal protection requires strengthening regulations, institutions, and a legal culture oriented towards fulfilling victims' rights and recovering victims.
