One-Pot Synthesis of Azolylmethanesulfonamido-Substituted Oxadiazoles, Thiadiazoles, and Triazoles as Antimicrobial, Antioxidant, and Anticancer Agents Supported by Molecular Docking Studies
A novel series of azolylmethanesulfonamido-substituted oxadiazoles, thiadiazoles, and triazoles synthesized via an efficient one-pot protocol facilitated by TMSNCS demonstrated a broad spectrum of biological profiles, with multiple derivatives exhibiting potent antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, and anticancer properties.
In vitro findings identified compounds 6a, 6m, and 6n as potent leads, exhibiting significant antimicrobial activity with minimum inhibitory concentration values ranging from 15 to 500 µg/mL and antioxidant activity with DPPH IC50 values of 6.35 ± 0.51 μM, respectively.
