TL;DR

Findings demonstrate the potent therapeutic potential of Curcumin as a natural protective bioprotectant against pesticide-induced organ toxicity and reproductive failure.

Abstract

This study assessed how effective curcumin is against Thiacloprid toxicity in male rats. Thiacloprid exposure led to obvious oxidative stress, indication showing the significantly increased levels of lipid peroxidation, diminished GSH levels, and severely inhibited activities of the enzymatic antioxidant defense system. In addition, Thiacloprid altered plasma pituitary-gonadal hormones, induced testicular histopathological changes and caused a significant reduction in sperm parameters (sperm count, motility, viability), combined with systemic hepatotoxicity and biochemical derangement. On the other hand, co-administration of Curcumin ameliorated these toxicological hazards by harmonizing cellular redox equilibrium as well as enhancing antioxidant enzyme activities, maintaining histopathology of testicular architecture and modulating hormonal and biochemical parameters. These findings demonstrate the potent therapeutic potential of Curcumin as a natural protective bioprotectant against pesticide-induced organ toxicity and reproductive failure.

The Effect of Resveratrol in Alleviating Ovarian Tissue Damage in Cadmium-Induced Rats

Cadmium (Cd) exposure leads to severe histological damage (follicular atresia, granulosa cell degeneration) and increased oxidative stress in rat ovarian tissue. This study investigates the protective potential of resveratrol (RES) against these toxic effects.Histologically, RES treatment significantly mitigated Cd-ind...

Biological effects of a tested commercial fragrance formulation in rats: oxidative and molecular alterations and the protective role of vitamin E

Under the present experimental conditions, repeated inhalation exposure to the tested fragrance formulation induced systemic oxidative stress and multi-organ physiological and molecular alterations in rats, and vitamin E supplementation attenuated several of these alterations but did not fully restore normal levels.

Ferula assa-foetida Ameliorates Lead Acetate-induced Splenotoxicity and Hematological Disturbances in Rats via Enhancement of Antioxidant Defense and Suppression of Inflammatory Cytokines.

INTRODUCTION Lead poisoning poses a significant global health challenge, impairing immune function and inducing oxidative stress and inflammation, particularly in the spleen. Ferula assa-foetida, a traditional medicinal plant, exhibits antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, but its protective effects against lea...
