Abstract

The more electric aircraft high-voltage direct current power supply system requires high-performance control. Complex environments and operating conditions may increase the probability of false protection. Therefore, this paper studies the voltage regulation control strategy of the permanent magnet synchronous generator. This paper proposes a linear/nonlinear active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) strategy with a switching principle. The method combines the advantages of linear and nonlinear ADRC, featuring simple parameter tuning and smooth control. The control requirements for more electric aircraft are analyzed, and the system model and control architecture are established. An extended state observer is designed to compensate uncertainties, and a state-based switching criterion ensures smooth output. Dynamic, steady-state, and anti-noise performances are evaluated using Bode analysis. Simulation results comparing proportional-integral (PI) control, linear ADRC, nonlinear ADRC, and switched ADRC demonstrate the superior steady-state and dynamic performance of the proposed method, providing a feasible solution for high-performance voltage regulation in more electric aircraft power systems.
