TL;DR

The study reveals that the internalization of Islamic digital ethics strengthens three dimensions of consumer trust: competence, integrity, and benevolence, offering a middle path between algorithmic efficiency and consumer dignity protection.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has fundamentally reshaped digital commerce, yet it simultaneously produces a crisis of consumer trust driven by algorithmic opacity, personal data exploitation, and manipulative personalization practices. This study aims to reconstruct a consumer trust framework through the lens of Islamic digital ethics as a normative foundation for equitable AI-based trade governance. Employing a qualitative descriptive method through a systematic literature review integrated with interpretive thematic analysis, this research examines 62 scholarly sources addressing the intersection of consumer trust, AI ethics, and Islamic commercial principles (muamalah). The findings articulate four foundational values tawhid, 'adl (justice), ikhtiyar (freedom of choice), and shafafiyyah (transparency), framed by the principle of amanah synthesized into an operational framework termed the TAIS Model for evaluating and designing sharia-compliant AI commerce systems. The study further reveals that the internalization of Islamic digital ethics strengthens three dimensions of consumer trust: competence, integrity, and benevolence, offering a middle path between algorithmic efficiency and consumer dignity protection. Theoretically, this research enriches contemporary Islamic business ethics discourse; practically, it provides guidance for digital business actors, AI developers, and regulators in formulating algorithmic governance policies grounded in Islamic values and consumer protection.

Etika Kecerdasan Buatan Berbasis Maqashid Syariah: Konseptualisasi Kerangka untuk Sektor Keuangan Islam di Indonesia

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Indonesia's Islamic finance sector offers efficiency, financial inclusion, and strengthened regulatory compliance, but also raises ethical issues, algorithmic bias, and sharia compliance. This article aims to formulate an AI ethics framework based on maqashid al-shariah to serve as a reference for sustainable AI governance in Islamic banking and finance. The method used is a systematic literature review of reputable indexed articles discussing Islamic AI ethics, maqashid al-shariah, and the application of AI in Indonesian Islamic finance. The results of the study indicate that the dimensions of hifz al-din, al-nafs, al-aql, al-nasl, and al-mal can be operationalized into the principles of transparency, accountability, justice, data protection, and public interest orientation in AI design and supervision. The recommendations from this study are to propose a conceptual framework that integrates maqashid al-syariah with a modern AI risk governance model, as well as recommending strengthening regulations, the role of the DPS, and AI ethics literacy in Indonesian Islamic financial institutions.

INTEGRASI MANAJEMEN KEUANGAN SYARIAH DAN STRATEGI FUNDRAISING BERBASIS DIGITAL PADA LEMBAGA KEAGAMAAN ISLAM

ABSTRACT Digital transformation has significantly reshaped financial management practices in Islamic religious institutions. However, studies integrating Sharia-based financial governance with digital resource mobilization remain limited. Existing research generally examines these two dimensions separately, leaving a gap in developing an integrated framework capable of strengthening accountability, transparency, and public trust. This study is important because the sustainability of Islamic institutions increasingly depends on their ability to manage funds in accordance with Sharia principles while adapting to technological advancements. The study aims to analyze the fundamental principles of Sharia financial governance, examine technology-based fundraising strategies, and formulate an integrated model that enhances donor trust. This research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design complemented by an exploratory survey simulation. Data were analyzed through content analysis and thematic analysis of academic literature, regulatory documents, and simulated donor perception data. The findings indicate that integrating the principles of tawhid, justice, transparency, and Sharia compliance with digital communication strategies improves institutional accountability. The simulation revealed that regular program updates were the strongest determinant of donor satisfaction (80%), followed by financial transparency (70%) and trust in digital security systems (65%). The study concludes that sustainable institutional transformation requires the synergy of Sharia governance, technological innovation, and continuous communication to strengthen public trust and organizational sustainability.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in education presents challenges for Islamic education within local cultural contexts, particularly regarding how data-driven technologies can be adopted without diminishing the moral values and local epistemic structures that support the social legitimacy of Islamic education. This conceptual paper examines this issue through the context of Madura, an Indonesian island society whose Islamic education system is closely connected to local wisdom through pesantren traditions, the epistemic authority of kyai, communal practices such as kompolan, and moral values expressed in bâburughân beccè'. Through a qualitative synthesis of recent studies on Madurese local wisdom and AI integration in Islamic education, this paper develops a conceptual framework that views AI and local wisdom as a negotiation space. Three key aspects require careful management: knowledge authority, character development and moderation, and access and equity. The paper argues that future-oriented Islamic education in Madura should implement a value-based AI adoption model with teachers acting as mediators, ensuring that technology strengthens rather than replaces the relational and communal dimensions of pesantren pedagogy.

Komunikasi Kebijakan Perlindungan Anak di Ruang Digital: Studi Komparatif antara PP Tunas dan Regulasi Global

The massive development of digital technology expands children's access to information while simultaneously escalating cyber risks such as online exploitation and cyberbullying. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning Electronic System Governance for Child Protection (PP TUNAS) in the digital space, focusing on the technical challenges of age verification and the strengthening of digital literacy. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using qualitative content analysis of relevant regulatory documents, methodologically triangulated with secondary questionnaire data from the EVIDENT Institute involving 1,050 urban respondents in DKI Jakarta. The analytical framework is examined through Edwards III's Policy Implementation Theory, which measures four main variables—communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure—supported by Ayres and Braithwaite's Responsive Regulation Theory. The findings indicate a wide operational gap between normative regulatory texts and the reality of digital platform architecture. First, in the technical resource dimension, the age verification mechanisms of most platforms still rely on vulnerable self-declaration methods, deemed ineffective by 59.3% of respondents. Second, in the communication dimension, a substantial information asymmetry emerges, with 45% of respondents in a state of pseudo-awareness. Third, there is an imbalance between the domestic parental supervision burden and the fragmentation of the educational bureaucracy, reflected in 31.8% of educational institutions that have not facilitated digital literacy socialization for the parent community. This study concludes that strengthening PP TUNAS implementation requires integrating verification systems based on national population data (NIK) and standardizing a national digital citizenship curriculum to close the digital loophole.

PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM BAGI KONSUMEN TERHADAP PRAKTIK IKLAN MENYESATKAN OLEH INFLUENCER DALAM TRANSAKSI E-COMMERCE PADA PLATFORM TIKTOK SHOP

The development of digital technology and social media has driven the transformation of e-commerce practices, particularly through the TikTok platform, which integrates promotional and transactional functions into a single digital ecosystem. In practice, influencers play a significant role in influencing consumers’ purchasing decisions through the promotional content they share. However, it is not uncommon to find advertisements containing false, exaggerated, or misleading information, which has the potential to cause harm to consumers. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection provided to consumers against misleading advertisements by influencers in e-commerce transactions on TikTok, the legal liability of influencers and business operators for resulting losses, as well as law enforcement efforts against such practices. The research method employed is normative legal research using a statutory approach, a conceptual approach, and a case study approach. The data sources used consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials obtained through a literature review. The results of the study indicate that legal protection for consumers is regulated under Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, and regulations related to electronic commerce. Influencers and business operators may be held legally liable if they are found to have disseminated false or misleading information that results in consumer harm. Law enforcement can be carried out through preventive measures such as monitoring and education, as well as through repressive measures such as dispute resolution, compensation, or the imposition of sanctions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
