An inbuilt intelligent monitoring system that combines machine vision and data from multiple sensors to enhance the safety of baby strollers is developed and can provide more comprehensive safety guarantees when traveling with a baby.
Abstract
Most baby strollers do not have the function of monitoring the surrounding environment or warning of potential dangers. It is difficult for parents to promptly detect factors such as overheating inside the stroller, changes in the baby's position, or tilting of the vehicle body. This paper has developed an inbuilt intelligent monitoring system that combines machine vision and data from multiple sensors to enhance the safety of baby strollers. This system uses Raspberry Pi 4B as the basic control device and STM32F103C8T6 as the auxiliary processor. Data is collected through Universal Serial Bus (USB) panoramic cameras, ultrasonic sensors, Digital Humidity and Temperature sensor (DHT22) humidity and temperature sensors, Motion Processing Unit 6050 (MPU6050) position sensors, etc., and information is sent to a remote address using the ESP8266 WiFi Module (ESP8266) module. The actual test results show that this system can accurately identify abnormal states and dangerous situations in the surrounding environment and respond promptly, while maintaining a stable power supply and being able to operate continuously for more than 12 hours. In this way, it can provide more comprehensive safety guarantees when traveling with a baby.
An intelligent fire early warning system based on a dual STM32F103C8T6 master-slave architecture and a K230 edge computing unit that adopts a weighted voting-based multi-source data fusion decision mechanism is designed and implemented.
