The Hierarchy of Values of Contemporary School Students in the Republic of Ingushetia
Abstract
The article explores the hierarchy of life values of contemporary school students. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to understand the value orientations of the younger generation in the context of dy-namic social changes and digitalization, to which contemporary school students are exposed. In the course of an empirical study conducted in the Republic of Ingushetia, it was revealed that family, service to others, and health occupy a dominant position in the value hierarchy, while the values of fame, creativity, and material well-being are expressed to a minimal degree. The results obtained refute the stereotype that career and hedonistic values are a priority for modern adolescents. This study confirmed that the system of value orientations of con-temporary school students remains stable and demonstrates continuity with the traditional moral values of Rus-sian society, which is an important positive factor in the social development of the younger generation.
