Abstract

In view of the characteristics of frequency-stepped radar seekers, which possess high resolution and strong anti-interference capabilities, this paper proposes a random frequency-pulling coherent false target jamming method. This method selectively stores and forwards sub-pulse signals, and introduces random frequency offsets, phase perturbations, and time delays to disrupt the coherence consistency of the frequency-stepped radar during the range profile synthesis process, thereby distorting and diffusing the target echo structure. Compared with traditional noise suppression jamming and DRFM store-and- forward jamming, this method not only generates multiple false targets but also causes the target range profile to exhibit broadening, splitting, and drift, thus providing stronger concealment and anti-countermeasure capabilities. The analysis results show that this method can effectively degrade the radar imaging quality without significantly increasing jamming power, but it poses higher requirements on signal reconnaissance accuracy and system control capabilities.

SAR Anti-Interrupted-Sampling-Repeater-Jamming Method Based on Subpulse Permutation Linear Frequency Modulation

To address the difficulties in detecting and extracting parameters of interrupted sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ) in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) due to strong echo masking and transform domain feature aliasing in complex land and sea scenarios, this article proposes an active–passive joint countermeasure method bas...

A Joint Design Method of Waveform and Filter With High Doppler Tolerance and Anti-Interrupted Sampling Repeater Jamming Capability

Interrupted sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ) is a coherent jamming technique combining both deception and suppression capabilities, posing a serious threat to pulse-Doppler radar. Although existing studies have proposed various waveform design methods to counter the ISRJ, these approaches often struggle to balance jamm...

Detection of Noise Product Amplitude Modulated Slice Repeat Jamming Based on Dual-Dimension Mutations of Statistical Properties and Amplitude

Slice repeat jamming is a coherent jamming mode that exhibits deceptive and suppressive characteristics. Accurate detection of such jamming can provide key prior information for subsequent antijamming measures, thus holding notable research value. However, when this jamming adopts noise-product amplitude modulation, th...

Residual-Feedback-Aware Range-Profile Sidelobe Suppression for Stepped-Frequency Radar

Under locally strong ground clutter, strong clutter residuals and range sidelobes in stepped-frequency radar may mask weak scattering points, produce false peaks, and degrade range-profile quality when detecting low, slow, and small UAVs. APC-RMMSE constructs the covariance matrix from power estimates of the current it...

Effects of Mainlobe Jamming Cancellation on Angle Estimation in Subarray-Level Three-Channel Radar

High-power mainlobe jamming severely degrades the target-detection capabilities of array radars in complex electromagnetic environments. Although the difference-channel signal can be reused as an auxiliary reference to suppress the jamming component in the sum channel, the jamming component remains unmitigated in the m...

Multi-tone Jammer Localization Algorithms for Reader in Backscatter Communication Systems

As an Internet of Things solution, backscatter communication (BSC) offers low cost and energy efficiency but suffers from high vulnerability to jamming due to its simple architecture and double-path fading. Existing methods rely on antenna arrays and beamforming to mitigate jamming but fail to provide localization, tra...
