Abstract

Due to the openness of wireless propagation, physical information transmissions remain vulnerable to electromagnetic interferences and adverse eavesdropping. Against this background, this paper investigates a fluid-antenna (FA) base-station and passive RIS enabled novel secure joint transmitter receiver spatial modulation (FR-NSJSM) scheme. For this novel proposal, both FA empowered multiplicative artificial noise (MAN), and low-overhead additive artificial noise (AAN) are introduced for achieving security enhanced high data-rate transmission of FRJSM. Specifically, upon exploiting the port reconfigurability of FA, preconfigured phase-offset based MAN is first attached to the transmitted JSM symbol. Then, the reference slot based low-overhead AAN is injected to the perturbed JSM symbol. In addition, we introduce and investigate respectively the random port selection and optimal port selection strategies, so as to achieve further enhanced security of RIS assisted cascaded wireless transmission. Furthermore, analytical expressions regarding the average bit error probability and achievable rate discrepancies are derived for evaluating enhanced secrecy. Simulation results substantiate the correctness of the theoretical analysis and demonstrate that the proposed FR-NSJSM scheme achieves superior BER and secrecy rate performance.
