Abstract
The research aims to clarify the concept of linguistic economy from a pragmatic perspective, given its importance in the success of the communicative process. It is also considered an effective tool in constructing discourse and guiding the recipient, while maintaining coherence, brevity, and effectiveness. The first section is entitled “Conversational Implicature and Linguistic Economy,” while the second section discusses “Linguistic Economy through Presupposition.” This is followed by the main findings reached by the study, and finally a list of sources and references.
