Abstract
With their strong social media participation, digital nativity, and experience-driven purchase habits, Generation Z is a revolutionary demographic in the global tourist market. This study looks at how Gen Z travels in the digital age, with an emphasis on how social media, online platforms, and technology developments affect their travel preferences, motives, and decision-making.
The study examines important factors that influence Gen Z's travel intentions, including exposure to digital information, peer pressure, influencer marketing, online reviews, mobile applications, worries about sustainability, and financial limitations. Additionally, it examines behavioral factors such as destination selection, trip planning method, booking preferences, solo versus group travel inclinations, and the influence of visual and experiential appeal on travel choices.
By offering localized insights into youth travel behavior in a digitally connected environment and strategic recommendations for tourism stakeholders to create focused, technology-driven, and experience-oriented travel offerings in line with Gen Z expectations, the study adds to the body of literature on tourism.
