Abstract
This study employs bibliometric analysis to map international trends in teaching fiction in English literature classrooms, including trends in publication, major scholars, and emerging themes. According to the Scopus database statistics, research papers published from 2010 to 2024 were queried with the terms "Teaching Fiction," "English Literature," and "Learning Approaches." The findings reveal a strong local publication focus and a lack of robust international collaboration, with the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Russia, and China emerging as leading players. Scholars such as Ivey Gay and Astradur Esteinsson have worked on multimodal teaching approaches and digital storytelling, respectively. Dominant thematic trends, including "Education," "Learning," and "Curriculum," reveal an increasing emphasis on creativity, critical thinking, and digital content in fiction pedagogy. These findings provide a valuable stepping stone to research in innovative methodologies and pedagogical practice within teaching fiction

Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) has become increasingly important in response to the growing demand for English proficiency in the era of globalization. This study aims to identify research trends, effective teaching strategies, major challenges, and instructional innovations in TEYL. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines by analyzing 30 empirical studies published between 2019 and 2025 from Google Scholar, Publish or Perish, ERIC, Scopus, DOAJ, and SINTA-indexed journals. Bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer was employed to visualize keyword co-occurrence and thematic relationships. The findings indicate that TEYL research has grown significantly, with effective teaching strategies, teacher challenges, and technology-based innovations emerging as the dominant themes. Interactive approaches, including games, storytelling, songs, Total Physical Response (TPR), and multimodal learning, consistently improve learners’ motivation and language development. However, teacher competence, limited learning resources, institutional support, and learner diversity remain key challenges. The review concludes that successful TEYL implementation depends on the integration of pedagogical innovation, teacher competency, learner characteristics, digital readiness, and institutional support. These findings provide valuable insights for improving English language instruction for young learners and guiding future TEYL research.
Interdisciplinary teaching has become an important approach for promoting curriculum integration and competency development. However, comparative studies on the research trends and knowledge structures of interdisciplinary teaching in different contexts remain limited. This study conducted a bibliometric analysis based on publications from CNKI and the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Using CiteSpace, publication trends, collaboration networks, keyword co-occurrence, clustering, and burst keywords were analyzed to identify research hotspots and emerging themes. The results show that interdisciplinary teaching research has grown steadily in both Chinese and international literature. Chinese studies mainly focus on curriculum reform, interdisciplinary thematic learning, instructional design, and artificial intelligence, while international studies emphasize STEM education, curriculum development, competency assessment, and empirical evaluation. The findings reveal different research orientations shaped by educational contexts and provide references for the future development of interdisciplinary teaching research.

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of writing anxiety research in English language education from 2016 to 2026 using 138 Scopus-indexed journal articles. Employing performance analysis and science mapping through Biblioshiny, it examines publication trends, influential journals, highly cited studies, leading countries, and emerging research themes. Findings reveal that the field is anchored on the interconnected constructs of writing anxiety, writing self-efficacy, and writing performance, with publication output increasing markedly after 2021, reflecting post-pandemic and AI-assisted learning contexts. Citation analysis identifies the foundational contributions of Tahmouresi and Papi, Rahimi, and Sabti et al., while author productivity remains concentrated among a small group of recurring scholars. China emerged as the most influential country in terms of citations, followed by Malaysia, the United States, Turkey, and New Zealand, highlighting the dominance of Asian and other non-Western EFL contexts. Despite sustained growth, the field exhibits limited international collaboration and underrepresentation of Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and much of Europe. The study recommends expanding database coverage, strengthening cross-country collaboration, and examining writing anxiety within AI-mediated writing environments and diverse learner populations. The findings provide a comprehensive overview of research trends and offer a benchmark for future scholarship and pedagogical innovation in English language education.
