Influence of AI-Assisted Human Resource Management on Employee Engagement, Organizational Trust and Job Satisfaction
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into human resource management (HRM) to support recruitment, employee communication, performance management, workforce analytics, learning and development, and administrative decision-making. Although AI-assisted HRM can improve the speed, consistency and personalization of HR processes, its influence on employees' psychological and attitudinal outcomes remains an important area of organizational research. The present study was designed to examine the influence of AI-assisted HRM on employee engagement, organizational trust and job satisfaction. A quantitative, cross-sectional research design was adopted, with employees who had experience with AI-supported HR practices serving as the target population. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire incorporating measures of perceived AI-assisted HRM, employee engagement, organizational trust and job satisfaction. Responses were recorded using a five-point Likert scale. The questionnaire included dimensions related to AI-enabled HR efficiency, personalization, transparency and human oversight. Employee engagement, organizational trust and job satisfaction were assessed using established measurement approaches from organizational and occupational research. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis were planned to examine relationships among the study variables, while reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha. The study framework was intended to clarify whether employees' perceptions of AI-assisted HRM were associated with favorable workplace outcomes and to identify the importance of transparency, fairness and human involvement in AI-supported HR decisions.
