Abstract
Background: Pawnshop is a key non-bank financial service providing short-term liquidity for communities with limited access to formal banking. Along with economic uncertainty and social vulnerability, academic studies on pawnshops have developed rapidly across various disciplines. This study aims to map and analyze the global development of pawnshop research, identify major thematic structures, and examine the multidisciplinary nature of the literature. Methods: This study employs a bibliometric approach using secondary data obtained from the Scopus database covering publications from 2016 to 2025. A total of 59 relevant articles were analyzed using bibliometric techniques, including publication trend analysis, country and institutional contributions, funding sources, subject areas, and keyword co-occurrence analysis supported by network, overlay, and density visualizations. Findings: The results show that pawnshop research has grown steadily and is highly multidisciplinary, involving social sciences, economics, business, health, and policy studies. Keyword co-occurrence analysis reveals five main thematic clusters: alternative financial services and microfinance, social behavior, risk and criminality, sensitive regulation related to public safety, and sharia-based pawnshops. Furthermore, pawnshop research focuses on risk-oriented and regulatory issues toward financial inclusion, ethical finance, eco-social welfare, and socially responsive pawnshop models. These findings demonstrate a strong relationship between theoretical perspectives on financial inclusion and social vulnerability with the empirical development of pawnshop research. Conclusion: This study concludes that pawnshop is a complex socio-economic phenomenon vital for fostering community resilience, sustainability, and eco-social welfare, which must be understood through an integrated and multidisciplinary perspective. The bibliometric mapping provides a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and highlights future research directions in non-bank financial services. Novelty/Originality of this article: This article offers a comprehensive bibliometric synthesis of global pawnshop research by integrating thematic structures, research dynamics, and multidisciplinary perspectives, providing a holistic understanding that has not been systematically explored in previous studies.
This study analyses the development, conceptual foundations, and emerging directions of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research, with particular emphasis on its contribution to business sustainability and financial performance. It aims to map the dominant research themes in the ESG literature, examine the contributions of prominent authors, institutions, journals, and countries, and identify promising avenues for future research. The study adopts a quantitative bibliometric approach based on secondary data drawn from the Scopus database. A structured screening procedure was applied to peer reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, and review papers published in English between 2015 and 2025 that explicitly addressed ESG concepts, yielding a final sample of 2,878 publications from 607 journals. Bibliometric indicators, including authorship patterns, citation structures, institutional and country contributions, journal sources, and keyword co occurrences, were examined using VOSviewer and R Studio (Biblioshiny). The findings indicate significant expansion and diversification of ESG research over the study period, organised around six core thematic clusters: sustainable development, business values, corporate social responsibility, ESG disclosure, ESG investment, and corporate strategy. The study identifies the most influential contributors and sources shaping ESG scholarship and points to growing research opportunities in the strategic and financial integration of ESG factors.

The study aims to systematically map and synthesize the global research landscape on bank performance by employing a bibliometric approach. Using Biblioshiny as an analytical tool, the study conducts a structured extraction and comprehensive analysis of literature indexed in the scopus database. This process results in a final dataset consisting of 2,636 peer-reviewed articles published between 1990 and 2026. The analysis explores key dimensions, including publication trends, influential countries, leading institutions, prominent authors, and high-impact journals, as well as the intellectual and conceptual structures that underpin bank performance research. The findings reveal that the literature has historically been dominated by contributions from advanced economies with well-established financial systems, particularly the United States and several European countries. However, there has been a noticeable increase in contributions from developing and emerging economies in recent years, reflecting a more geographically diverse research landscape. From a conceptual perspective, bank performance research continues to be strongly anchored in core themes such as profitability, financial performance, efficiency, and corporate governance. Nevertheless, thematic evolution and trend analyses indicate a gradual shift toward more multidimensional perspectives. Recent studies increasingly integrate topics such as risk management, sustainability, digital transformation, financial technology (fintech), and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. Furthermore, external shocks most notably the COVID-19 pandemic along with rapid digitalization, have significantly influenced both research directions and methodological approaches. Despite the expanding scope of the literature, the study identifies persistent conceptual fragmentation, particularly in efforts to simultaneously integrate governance, risk, technology, and sustainability within unified analytical frameworks. Overall, this study provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution, dominant themes, and emerging research opportunities in bank performance studies, offering valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners aiming to foster more resilient, adaptive, and sustainable banking systems.

This study aims to map the intellectual and conceptual landscape of the B Corp movement within the scientific literature through a quantitative bibliometric analysis. Utilising the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection database, the research analyses 108 peer-reviewed articles published between 2007 and 2025. Data visualisation and network analysis, including co-authorship and keyword co-occurrence, were performed using the VOSviewer software. The results show that the number of publications has been growing exponentially since 2011, and the majority of the articles are in the business and management field. A total of 282 keywords were evaluated, and “B Corp” (total link strength: 315) and “Corporate Social Responsibility” (total link strength: 92) were identified as central conceptual pillars. The most cited influential work is by Julie Battilana and Alnoor Ebrahim, with 728 citations. Geographic concentration is still strong in the USA and Europe, but research on emerging economies, such as Türkiye, where there are presently 15 certified B Corps, is critically lacking. The results show a conceptual move from general corporate responsibility to specific issues of 'social impact' and 'employee ownership'. The paper concludes with a research agenda for future research that can help bridge the gap between global norms and local institutional contexts, particularly for researchers in Türkiye.

Research on economic sustainability has developed rapidly in the last two decades, reflecting global attention to the sustainability of economic development. This study aims to map the landscape of economic sustainability research through bibliometric analysis using the Scopus database in the 1990–2025 period. The analysis includes publication trends, journal sources, most productive writers and institutions, collaboration between countries, and the most commonly used keywords. Economic Sustainability is a keyword used in the title of the article to get metadata taken from the Bibliography Database of Scopus, on Friday, May 9, 2025, 11:40 AM. To develop the analysis, Bibliomagika® is used to conduct frequency analysis and for data visualization. The results showed significant growth in publications since 2019, with the dominance of research from developed countries, especially Italy, the United States, China, and the United Kingdom. In addition, a cluster of the main research themes was found, such as sustainable development, climate change, and circular economy. This finding is expected to provide important insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to understand the development of science and identify the potential for collaboration and the direction of future research.

Objectives. The current landscape of karate technology is beginning to mature, marked by an abundance of recent studies. Previous analyses have primarily focused on original investigations, and mapping research trends in karate through bibliometric analysis has not received adequate attention. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of research trends in karate technology through the Scopus database for the period 2000–2025.
Materials and Methods. Data were collected using specific Boolean keywords in the Scopus database. A total of 122 RIS-format documents were retrieved and filtered using the Mendeley application, then visualized using the VOSviewer and Biblioshiny applications.
Results. (1) Literature development, where productivity increased during 2021–2025, while journal citations tended to fluctuate. (2) Journal performance, where the most productive journals were in applied sciences, engineering, and several sports-related fields. (3) Author productivity, where the most active researchers published 10–13 articles, with the highest citation counts ranging from 109 to 134. (4) Geographic distribution and collaboration patterns, where Poland and Indonesia were the leading contributors to SCP and MCP, although overall international collaboration was not optimal. (5) Popular keyword trends, where the dominant cluster focused on artificial intelligence, deep learning, and sensors, comprising 40 keywords, while the use of virtual reality and augmented reality has also become increasingly common.
Conclusions. Although some aspects have improved, further research and technological development are needed, along with increased demand in this area and stronger international collaboration. Modern karate requires both the implementation and continuous improvement of technology to optimize learning and athletic performance.

This paper analyzes trends in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for business small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Additionally, it aims to highlight the important contributions of authors, journals, nations, and institutions or organizations in the field. This paper uses bibliometric methods to analyze relevant literature metrics, such as research trends, influential contributions, and emerging themes, from 1905 to the current year based on the Scopus database. Additionally, the authors use VOSviewer to conduct analyses to identify the core literature and research hotspots in this field. The findings from the bibliometric review shows the growing trends in publications. Besides that, the authors and institution from US and UK be dominance in this research field. The themes of alternative dispute resolutions were found related with business and technology. There is lower number of publications discussing about alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the context of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This study relies solely on a single database (Scopus), which may limit the scope of the findings. However, these findings enhance understanding of alternative dispute resolution trends in small and medium enterprises and provide evidence-based recommendations for legal and institutional reform.
