2026 · Social Science and Humanities Journal · 0 citations · 7 references

Abstract

In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and rapid digital transformation, knowledge, innovation, and technology have emerged as critical determinants of economic growth and national competitiveness. This article employs a qualitative research approach, combining case study analysis, document analysis, and comparative policy analysis to examine China's experience in managing the knowledge economy from a public governance perspective. The findings indicate that China's success stems from the state's strategic orientation, sustained investment in science and technology, the cultivation of high-quality human resources, and the establishment of a robust innovation ecosystem. Nevertheless, the model continues to confront several challenges, notably uneven investment and persistent dependence on select foreign-controlled core technologies. Based on these findings, the article proposes policy implications for enhancing knowledge economy governance in Vietnam, thereby contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
