Abstract

Premised on the need to categorize and provide a systemic structure to the construct of Augmented Agency, this documentary research article utilizes conceptual mapping to resolve the current terminological ambiguity within the educational sphere. Faced with the latent risk of technological determinism eroding human autonomy, a critical analysis of 37 scientific sources was executed, examined through eight analytical axes: ranging from notion and categorization to linking and exemplification. The derived findings allow for a definition of Augmented Agency not as a mere delegation of tasks, but as a hybrid capacity where digital tools function as cognitive scaffolding, while ethical sovereignty and final judgment remain, untransferably, within the human pole. Consequently, it is concluded that such a concept is imperative for socioformation and Education 4.0, as it provides the foundation for a technological praxis that safeguards the subject's self-determination against the simplistic automation logics prevailing in contemporary algorithmic environments.
