Abstract

This study investigates the determinants influencing logistics firms' intentions to pursue digital transformation, with a particular focus on four key areas: financial capacity, digital technology costs, digital technology security, and leadership capability. Furthermore, it examines the mediating role of digital technology security in this process. The research utilizes quantitative methods, collecting primary data through interviews with directors and managers from 178 logistics companies in the Mekong Delta. The findings reveal that leadership capability and financial capacity exert a direct and positive influence on the digital transformation intentions of logistics enterprises. Conversely, the cost of digital transformation has an insignificant negative impact on these intentions, suggesting that financial barriers are no longer a major impediment to digital transformation efforts within enterprises. Moreover, digital technology security is identified as a crucial mediating factor linking leadership capability to digital transformation intentions, thereby significantly facilitating the digital transformation process. This study contributes valuable insights for logistics companies seeking to successfully transition to digital technologies and serves as a practical guide for firms planning digital transformation, outlining the essential steps for an effective and successful transition.
