It highlights key competencies such as knowledge of the diversity of learners, planning and differentiating teaching, managing diverse behavior in the classroom, using appropriate teaching and assessment strategies, communicating effectively, collaborating with parents and other stakeholders, and engaging in ongoing professional development. The paper also points out key obstacles that could hinder teachers in developing and using these skills like lack of adequate training, inadequate resources, high class sizes and inadequate institutional support. It also includes ways to improve teacher competencies through professional development, collaboration, inclusive pedagogy, and supportive school policies.  The paper stresses that teacher competencies are essential in the creation of classrooms where diverse students feel respected, supported, and actively involved in learning.
