The Synergy of the Circular Economy, Information Technologies, and Ecology in Sustainable Development
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the role of information and digital technologies in supporting the development of circular economic systems and to assess their potential contribution to environmental sustainability. The research is based on the analysis of statistical data from international organizations and global environmental reports, as well as comparative and analytical methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of digital solutions applied in circular economic practices. Particular attention is given to the implementation of advanced digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, big data analytics, and blockchain. These technologies enable improved monitoring of material flows, optimization of production and logistics processes, and enhanced transparency in supply chains. As a result, digital transformation contributes to more efficient resource management, reduction of waste generation, and mitigation of environmental impacts associated with economic activity.
