Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe and examine the relationship between social support and quality of life among adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in Bangladesh. Methods: A descriptive correlational design was conducted among 112 participants using a convenience sampling technique. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews using sociodemographic, social support, and quality of life questionnaires. Data were analyzed by using descriptive and Inferential statistics. Results: The participants' ages ranged from 10 to 16 years. Early adolescents (10-13 years) comprised 75%, and middle adolescents (14-16 years) comprised 25%, with a mean age of 12.23 ± 1.97 years. There was a statistically significant, strong positive correlation between social support and quality of life (r = .897, p = .000). More than half of the participants (58%) reported a high level of social support, and a similar proportion (55.4%) reported a good level of quality of life. Conclusion: Social support is strongly positively correlated with the quality of life of the participants.
