Abstract

This paper examines the use of computer models of 220 kV substations as a tool for improving reliability and transitioning to condition-based maintenance. The use of fiber-optic data channels and the organization of the communication system architecture according to a hierarchical three-level principle in accordance with the IEC 61850 standard ensure compatibility, synchronization, and high-speed signal exchange. The gradual integration of digital twins of 220 kV substations into common power system management platforms ensures continuous data exchange between facilities, automation of maintenance processes, and an increase in the overall reliability of electrical networks. It is shown how digital models and intelligent algorithms can identify deviations, predict potential failures, and optimize repairs, increasing the efficiency of electrical equipment operation in regions with special climatic conditions, including the Amur Region.
