Abstract

Efficient and smart agriculture practices are essential for maximizing crop yield while conserving resources. This project shows that the monitoring and irrigation processes are automated. The system uses a Raspberry Pi as the main processor to detect the location of plant leaves via a USB webcam, while an Arduino controls various sensor. Soil nutrient levels are monitored with NPK sensor, soil moisture with soil moisture sensor, pH in water with Ph sensor, and environmental conditions with a dht11 sensor. A max485 module facilitates UART-based communication between devices. Abnormal conditions trigger alerts via the GSM module, while a LCD display shows sensor readings in real time. A push button switch enables manual image capture of leaves Powered by a regulated power supply, this intelligent IoT system enhances precision agriculture by enabling real-time monitoring, automated irrigation, and efficient resource management. The system supports data-driven decision-making by enabling continuous monitoring and analysis of crop conditions. This approach not only reduces manual labor but also improves sustainability and overall agricultural productivity. IoT, Smart Farming, Automated Irrigation, GSM Alerts, Plant Disease Detection.
