The Third Workshop on Agentic and Generative AI for E-Commerce
Abstract
The Third Workshop on Agentic and Generative AI for E-Commerce, co-located with the 20th ACM Conference on Recommender Systems (RecSys 2026), brings together researchers and practitioners to examine the rapidly evolving intersection of recommender systems, generative AI, and agentic AI in online retail. As AI systems evolve from passive content generators to autonomous agents that can plan, reason, and take actions, e-commerce stands at the forefront of this transformation. This half-day workshop features invited keynote talks, contributed paper presentations, and a poster session that together explore how agentic and generative models can transform personalization, product discovery, content creation, and user engagement, while confronting the practical challenges of hallucination, cost, latency, and safe autonomous agent behavior. This summary describes the workshop’s scope, format, and outcomes, and reports on the submissions received for the 2026 edition.
