Distributed Generation and Energy Storage Technologies Applications in Smart Grids
Abstract
Smart grids provide important support for the large-scale access of distributed generation and energy storage technologies. This paper focuses on the application of distributed generation and energy storage technologies in the smart grid.Based on this,a comparative analysis of the application effects of distributed generation and energy storage under different system architectures and operation modes is conducted, and the main challenges currently faced in terms of grid-connected operation, system stability and economy are summarized:The intermittent and random output of distributed power sources increases the difficulty of grid dispatching. The high cost and limited lifespan of energy storage systems restrict large-scale promotion. The grid connection standards and market mechanisms are not yet perfect.Meanwhile, the complexity of data security and distributed operation and maintenance management has significantly increased. The findings indicate that the coordinated use of distributed generation and energy storage can effectively improve system flexibility and support greater renewable energy utilization, playing an important role in the development of a new power system.
