Abstract

The study provides a comprehensive analysis of industrial injuries and accidents at enterprises of the Uzbekugol JSC for 2020–2025. Based on statistical data for the main production subdivisions, the dynamics of accidents, including fatalities, have been investigated, and coefficients of injury frequency, as integral indices of the industrial safety level, have been calculated. A comparative analysis of injury rates across branches, considering the number of employees and the specifics of workflows, has been conducted. As established, the coal industry maintains a high level of production risk, which determines the relevance of the study; specific attention is paid to the Angren coal deposit as a key production base combining open and underground mining methods. It has been identified that the formation of injuries is determined by the combination of organizational, technological, and human factors, including violations of technological discipline, insufficient level of production control, incompliance with occupational safety requirements, incomplete provision of personal protection equipment, and low efficiency of personnel training. Based on the calculation of the injury frequency coefficients, their variability across years and subdivisions has been established, and high-risk level sectors have been identified. A set of organizational & technical, and preventive measures focusing on the improvement of the occupational safety management system, enhancing production control, improving the quality of personnel training, and implementing modern industrial safety technologies has been proposed. A conclusion is drawn regarding the need for transition to systemic risk-oriented occupational safety management to ensure a sustainable reduction in industrial injuries at the Uzbekugol JSC enterprises.
