Sep 2026 · International Journal of Educational Sciences and Arts · 0 citations

Abstract

This research examines the impact of digital media on the behavior of the Saudi public regarding national initiatives, amidst the rapid transformations in the communication landscape driven by the widespread adoption of social media platforms and digital applications. The study aims to assess the extent to which the Saudi public relies on digital media for information about national initiatives and to measure their level of engagement with digital content. Additionally, it investigates how digital media characteristics—such as interactivity, credibility, and the speed of information dissemination—shape public behavior and attitudes. The research also seeks to determine the relationship between following national initiatives on digital platforms and adopting supportive behaviors, such as participation, endorsement, compliance, and content sharing. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the study utilizes a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 400 Saudi digital platform users. The research focuses on three key pillars: digital media, public behavior, and national initiatives. Existing literature highlights the significant role of digital media in fostering awareness of citizenship and national identity and in promoting government initiatives; however, there is a need for further field studies to measure the transition from mere exposure to digital content to actual behavior and engagement. The study’s findings are expected to assist government bodies and national institutions in developing more effective digital communication strategies, improving the design of national campaigns, and enhancing community engagement and participation in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
