Financial Information Sources and Investment Decision Making Behaviour: An Empirical Study of Women Investors and Prospective Women Investors in Chhattisgarh
Abstract
Women’s participation in financial decision-making and investment activities has become increasingly important in the context of financial inclusion and economic empowerment. The present study examines the financial information sources and investment decision-making behaviour of women investors and prospective women investors in Chhattisgarh. The study is based on primary data collected from 260 respondents. Financial Information Sources and Investment Decision-Making Behaviour were measured using structured five-point Likert-scale statements. The reliability of the research instrument was assessed using Cronbach’s Alpha, which yielded values of 0.864 for Financial Information Sources and 0.917 for Investment Decision-Making Behaviour, indicating satisfactory internal consistency. To examine differences across demographic groups, the Kruskal Wallis H test and Mann–Whitney U test were employed.
