Abstract
This study examines the effect of cultural attractions on tourist satisfaction and its subsequent impact on tourist loyalty. It also investigates differences between first-time and repeat visitors using a multi-group analysis approach. Data were collected from tourists visiting Malioboro, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, using a self-administered questionnaire and a convenience sampling technique. The study employs Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), along with Measurement Invariance of Composite Models (MICOM) and Multi-Group Analysis (MGA). The results reveal that cultural attractions significantly influence tourist satisfaction, which in turn strongly affects tourist loyalty. However, other destination attributes, such as general attractions, heritage attractions, and supporting facilities, do not show significant effects on satisfaction. Furthermore, the findings indicate significant differences between first-time and repeat visitors in the relationship between satisfaction and loyalty. This study contributes to the cultural tourism literature by highlighting the critical role of cultural attractions in enhancing visitor satisfaction and encouraging revisit intentions. The results also provide managerial implications for destination managers in developing effective cultural tourism strategies.
This study examines the influence of tourists' intercultural communication, tourism destination marketing methods, and visitors' individual cultural experiences on tourist satisfaction and loyalty in the Guangxi region of China. A total of 593 valid visitors completed questionnaires to engage in the study, and researchers utilized structural equation modeling (SEM) to evaluate the research hypotheses. The results indicate that travelers' intercultural contact, efficient marketing tactics for tourism destinations, and individual cultural experiences substantially improve visitor pleasure. Furthermore, tourist satisfaction significantly mediates the impact of intercultural communication, marketing methods, and individual cultural experiences on visitor loyalty. This underscores the interdependence of these aspects and stresses the necessity of crafting a whole experience for visitors. The findings highlight the importance of cultivating internal psychological resources, including cultural knowledge and flexibility, to enhance the institutional support techniques offered by tourist stakeholders. This study also makes a substantial contribution toward expanding cognitive dissonance theory. It has pragmatic consequences for governmental and tourist enterprises seeking to improve the experiences of both domestic and foreign travelers. As the tourism sector evolves, comprehending these dynamics will be crucial for formulating successful marketing strategies that appeal to varied tourist demographics, assuring sustained growth and competitiveness in the global tourism market.

Tourist loyalty is an important factor in maintaining the sustainability and competitiveness of tourism destinations, particularly tourism villages that depend on repeat visits and positive word of mouth. This study aims to analyze the effect of tourist satisfaction on tourist loyalty in advanced tourism villages in Bogor Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL 8.80 software. Data were collected from 400 domestic tourists who had visited advanced tourism villages more than once through purposive sampling techniques. Tourist satisfaction was measured using four dimensions: attraction, accessibility, infrastructure, and environmental quality, while tourist loyalty was measured through revisit intention and recommendation intention. The results indicate that tourist satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on tourist loyalty, with a path coefficient of 0.80 and a t-value of 7.42. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.71 shows that tourist satisfaction explains 71% of the variance in tourist loyalty. Environmental quality emerged as the strongest dimension influencing tourist satisfaction, while revisit intention became the strongest indicator of tourist loyalty. These findings suggest that positive tourism experiences, particularly related to environmental conditions, encourage tourists to revisit destinations and recommend them to others. The study strengthens the application of Expectancy Disconfirmation Theory in the context of advanced tourism villages and provides practical implications for tourism village managers in improving environmental quality, infrastructure, and visitor experiences to enhance tourist loyalty.

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed the tourism industry, including homestay services that increasingly rely on digital platforms to improve customer experiences. However, the adoption of digital services among community-based homestays remains uneven, particularly in rural tourism destinations, creating challenges in maintaining tourist satisfaction, trust, and loyalty. This study aims to examine the effects of homestay service digitalization and tourist satisfaction on tourist loyalty through the mediating role of trust at Telaga Sarangan Tourism Destination, Magetan, Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from tourists who had stayed in homestays around Telaga Sarangan through structured questionnaires measured using a five-point Likert scale. The measurement model was evaluated through convergent validity, discriminant validity, composite reliability, and Cronbach's alpha, while the structural model was assessed using path coefficient analysis and bootstrapping. The findings indicate that homestay service digitalization significantly enhances tourist trust and loyalty. Tourist satisfaction also exerts significant positive effects on trust and loyalty. Furthermore, trust plays a significant mediating role in strengthening the relationships between homestay service digitalization and tourist loyalty as well as between tourist satisfaction and tourist loyalty. These findings suggest that improving digital service quality and enhancing tourists' satisfaction are essential strategies for increasing trust and fostering long-term tourist loyalty. The study contributes to the literature on digital tourism by highlighting the strategic role of trust in strengthening loyalty within community-based homestay services in rural tourism destinations.

This study aims to analyze the influence of destination attributes, escapism, and authenticity on place attachment and memorable tourism experience, and to examine the mediating role of place attachment on revisit intention. This study was conducted on tourists visiting leading destinations in Sumatra Province, such as the Toba Caldera Geopark and the Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra. Data were collected through a survey of 300 respondents chosen by purposive sampling and analyzed using a quantitative approach with partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that destination attributes, escapism, and authenticity have a positive and significant effect on place attachment and memorable tourism experience. In addition, place attachment is proven to mediate the relationship between these three variables and revisit intention. These findings confirm that tourists’ emotional attachment to a destination plays a significant role in driving revisit intention. Theoretically, this study broadens the understanding of the relationship between tourist psychological factors and post-tourism behavior in the context of nature and cultural tourism in Indonesia. Practically, the results of this study provide implications for destination managers to strengthen the elements of authenticity, experience quality, and emotional value of destinations to build sustainable tourism.

The study analyzes the key factors determining tourist satisfaction at Serbian summer coastal destinations in Northern Greece, with a particular focus on the Pieria region. The study is based on contemporary theoretical approaches to tourism, while the empirical part was conducted through a survey among 120 Serbian tourists during the summer tourist season of 2025, aiming to identify respondents’ demographic characteristics, travel motives, and satisfaction levels with various elements of the tourist offer. The results indicate that the region predominantly attracts middle-aged and older tourists, highly educated and mostly repeat visitors, with the main motives related to relaxation and recreation, suggesting potential for sustainable and stable tourism development. Using statistical methods, it was found that the gastronomic offer positively affects overall tourist satisfaction, while improvements in environmental standards reduce negative impacts and improve the visitor experience, including their loyalty to the destination. It is concluded that Pieria has favorable conditions for stable and sustainable tourism development, with the need for further enhancement of these aspects. The scientific contribution of the paper lies in the empirical confirmation of the influence of key elements of the destination offer on tourist satisfaction, while the practical contribution provides recommendations for improving destination management to promote sustainability and increase the quality of the tourist offer.
Tourism plays a crucial role in economic development and cultural exchange, making it essential to understand tourist behaviour and destination choice. This study aims to examine the motivating factors, travel behaviour, and satisfaction levels of tourists visiting Uttar Pradesh and areas requiring improvement. The study is based on primary data collected from 113 respondents using a structured questionnaire and employs descriptive and analytical research methods. The findings reveal that religious and spiritual experiences, cultural heritage, and historical attractions are the most influential factors motivating tourists. The supporting factors such as local cuisine, accommodation quality, transportation, and friendliness of locals enhance the tourist experience, while adventure activities, shopping, and leisure play a secondary role. The overall tourist satisfaction is found to be positive; however, safety and security, cleanliness and waste management, tourist information services, and infrastructure emerge as critical areas of concern. The study concludes that while Uttar Pradesh has strong tourism potential, addressing these gaps is essential to improve tourist satisfaction, encourage repeat visits, and promote tourism in Uttar Pradesh.
