Analysis of Epidemic Dynamics Under Social Distancing and Mobility Restrictions Using Agent-Based Modeling
Abstract
This paper analyzes the spread of infectious diseases using an agent-based model with spatial structure. Individuals are represented as agents on a two-dimensional grid, where local interactions and mobility determine infection dynamics. Several intervention strategies are considered, including social distancing, mobility restrictions, and their combination. The results show that social distancing reduces transmission intensity, mobility restrictions limit cross-region spread, and their combination provides the most effective control, significantly lowering peak infection levels. Visualization using the Manim library supports analysis by illustrating spatiotemporal patterns of disease propagation.
