Digital Literacy and Social Media Ethics Education for High School Students
Abstract
This community service program aimed to strengthen high school students’ digital literacy, social media ethics, and basic digital security. The program was conducted at SMA Islam Cikal Harapan 1, South Tangerang, on 1–3 April 2026, using interactive lectures, group discussions, case studies, security practice, simulations, and question-and-answer sessions. The target cohort was 20 Grade X students; the appended attendance sheets contain 46 entries, indicating participation beyond the planned target, although the report does not reconcile the difference. Qualitative evaluation records improved awareness of information verification, respectful online communication, and personal-data protection. Presentation materials and a practical module were also produced for continued school use
