ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW AND BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Sep 2026 · Revista de Estudos Interdisciplinares · 0 citations

Abstract

Evidence linking organizational culture, work environment, work dynamics, and occupational health remains dispersed across different fields of knowledge and organizational contexts, hindering an integrated understanding of these relationships. This study aims to identify, systematize, and critically analyze recent scientific evidence on these relationships by combining a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with bibliometric analysis. The review followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and used records retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection, ScienceDirect, and SciELO through the search strategy “organizational culture” AND (“work environment” OR “work dynamics” OR “occupational health”). After applying the eligibility criteria, 106 studies comprised the final corpus. The thematic synthesis examined organizational factors, psychosocial mechanisms, and occupational outcomes, while the bibliometric analysis characterized the evolution and conceptual structure of the scientific literature. The integration of these approaches highlights organizational culture as a cross-cutting component of the work context and enables the identification of trends, gaps, and interfaces among management practices, work environment characteristics, and workers’ health.
