L2-Gain Performance Analysis of Nonlinear Networked Control Systems with Time-Varying Delays Based on a Hybrid System Model

Abstract

This paper investigates the dynamic periodic event-triggered control (DPETC) for nonlinear networked systems with time-varying delays. Compared with traditional event-triggered control strategies, the DPETC proposed in this paper can effectively reduce the number of network transmissions. The considered networked control system (NCS) is rewritten as a class of hybrid system model, based on which we construct a novel Lyapunov function to analyze the L2-gain performance. Moreover, we design the tradeoffs of the maximally allowable transmission interval and the maximally allowable delay and present a method to determine the relevant parameters. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through a numerical example.
