Abstract

The article provides a theoretical justification for Team Intelligence as a tool to enhance project team adaptability in the context of digital transformation. The purpose of the study is to systematize scientific approaches to understanding team intelligence and determine the mechanisms of its influence on the effectiveness of project activities in conditions of increasing complexity, uncertainty, and digitalization of management processes. The paper emphasizes that the increase in project complexity, the spread of hybrid and virtual work formats, and the active integration of digital and algorithmic tools change the requirements for team interaction and management, bringing social and cognitive factors of efficiency to the forefront. The authors summarize modern interdisciplinary approaches to interpreting Team Intelligence as an integral ability of a team to collectively process information, form a common understanding of the situation, coordinate actions, and make agreed decisions. The components of Team Intelligence are identified, in particular, psychological safety, social sensitivity, equality of participation, cognitive diversity, and effective communication, and their role in shaping the adaptive behavior of project teams is shown. For each identified dimension, a set of observable indicators is proposed, providing an operational framework for the subsequent empirical assessment of Team Intelligence in project teams. It is substantiated that the set of socio-cognitive and behavioral characteristics of a team determines its ability to function effectively in conditions of digital transformation, while the use of modern technologies without the proper level of team intelligence does not guarantee the success of projects. A logical model of the influence of Team Intelligence on the effectiveness of project activities is proposed, demonstrating a consistent relationship between the development of team intelligence, accelerated decision-making, increased adaptability, and improved project outcomes. The scientific novelty of the study lies in systematically generalizing Team Intelligence as an independent analytical construct in project management and substantiating its role as a driver of team adaptability in the digital environment. The practical significance of the results lies in the potential to apply the conclusions to develop management approaches that increase the efficiency, sustainability, and flexibility of project teams in modern organizations.
