THE EFFECT OF PBL, INTERACTIVE MEDIA, AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT ON ECONOMICS LEARNING INTEREST
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, interactive learning media, and the learning environment on students' learning interest in Economics among Grade X students of SMA Shalahuddin Pasuruan in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The sample consisted of 67 students selected from classes X A and X B. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted through validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analysis using SPSS version 30. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model had a positive and significant effect on students' learning interest, with a significance value of 0.047 < 0.05. Interactive learning media also had a positive and significant effect, with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. In addition, the learning environment had a significant effect on learning interest, with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affected learning interest, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a contribution of 79.7%. Therefore, the implementation of problem-based learning, the use of interactive media, and a conducive learning environment can improve students' learning interest.
