This review synthesizes the theoretical and empirical evidence for major RMS: mixtures, rotations, mosaics, high-dose/refuge, dose moderation, and release of susceptible males; mixtures currently have the strongest support, with models consistently predicting delayed resistance evolution.
In Rwanda, mosquito control interventions, relying on bed nets and insecticide spraying on household walls, remain dominant in malaria prevention. Insecticides, widely used in both public health and agriculture, are becoming less effective across the country. Resistance data collected between 2022 and 2023 showed a c...

Mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, chikungunya, Zika, yellow fever and Japanese encephalitis remain
major public-health challenges. Insecticides are an important component of mosquito-vector control, particularly
through indoor residual spraying, insecticide-treated nets, larviciding and adult mosquito co...

Malaria remains among the most formidable public health challenges confronting Sub-Saharan Africa, with the region bearing 94% of the estimated 265 million global cases recorded in 2024. The emergence and proliferation of insecticide resistance in Anopheles mosquitoes threatens to reverse decades of hard-won progress i...

BACKGROUND
Insecticide resistance management (IRM) strategies, such as rotation and mixture, rely on fitness tradeoffs and susceptible population dilution to slow resistance. While IRM is widely recommended, its robustness when a target pest's biology violates these foundational assumptions remains poorly tested. The h...

Simple Summary Urban pest control provides great benefits to human societies through improved hygiene, prevention of vector-borne diseases, and reduced structural damage to buildings. The continued evolution of chemical control to safer and more selective compounds, as well as more targeted applications, has improved p...
