EL HUMANISMO DE LOS POBRES DE ARMANDO HART: FUNDAMENTOS TEÓRICOS Y VIGENCIA EN LA RESISTENCIA A LA COLONIZACIÓN CULTURAL EN AMÉRICA LATINA

2025 · Cultura Latinoamericana Revista de estudios interculturales · 0 citations

Abstract

Cultural recolonization in the twenty-first century represents a fundamental challenge for Latin America, operating through sophisticated mechanisms of symbolic domination that require updated theoretical frameworks for their understanding and resistance. The purpose of this study is to analyze Armando Hart Dávalos’ conception of the humanism of the poor as a theoretical-practical potential for contemporary cultural resistance. The study employs a qualitative methodology based on critical documentary analysis, philosophical hermeneutics, and theoretical triangulation of primary and secondary sources from a dialectical-materialist approach. The humanism of the poor is identified as a coherent theoretical-practical framework composed of four constitutive dimensions: ethical, cultural, political, and epistemological, demonstrating its relevance for current challenges of cultural hegemony. The article concludes that Hart’s thought provides solid foundations for strategies of cultural resistance and decolonizing policies, offering theoretical keys for confronting new forms of colonization in the Latin American context.
