Pengembangan Media Sains Scratch untuk Siswa Kelas IV pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS di MI Muhammadiyah 01 Payaman
Abstract
The 21st century has emerged as a digital era characterized by rapid advancements in information and communication technology. Current challenges faced by teachers include limited use of instructional media and a lack of competence in leveraging technology for educational purposes. This study developed valid and practical science learning media using Scratch, tailored for the Grade IV Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) curriculum in elementary schools. The research employed the 4D development model (R&D), comprising the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Product testing involved validation by media, design, and subject matter experts, followed by a practicality assessment based on response questionnaires and student activities during the media's implementation with Grade IV students at MI Muhammadiyah 01 Payaman. The results indicate that the media achieved an average validity score of 3.75, placing it in the "highly valid" category. Practicality test results showed that both response questionnaires and student activities fell into the "excellent" category. Consequently, the developed media is deemed valid and practical for use in IPAS instruction at the elementary school level.
