2026 · International journal of research and innovation in social science · 0 citations

Abstract

The central objective of this study was to examine the effect of workforce diversity on the performance of organizations. The specific objectives were: to determine the effect of age diversity, gender diversity and educational diversity on the performance of organizations. The study adopted conceptual analysis and reviewed several empirical research works by researchers. The reviewed literature suggests that age diversity, gender diversity, and educational diversity all had positive effects on organizational performance. This implies that institutions that effectively integrates employees of different age groups, promote gender inclusion, and leverage varied educational backgrounds are more likely to enhance collaboration, knowledge sharing, innovation, and productivity. Hence, it was recommended, inter-alia, that management should develop inclusive policies and structured programs such as mentorship initiatives, equitable participation in leadership and decision-making, and continuous professional development to fully harness the benefits of workforce diversity for improved institutional performance.
