Abstract

The sales transaction recording process at Kedai SiipScene is still carried out manually using notebooks and handwritten receipts, resulting in unstructured transaction data, time-consuming data searching and recapitulation, and limited utilization of transaction data to identify customer purchasing patterns. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Sales Transaction Information System to support business process optimization at Kedai SiipScene by applying the Apriori algorithm. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the Waterfall system development method. Data were collected through literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL. The Apriori algorithm was applied as an analytical technique to identify combinations of products frequently purchased together based on minimum support and confidence values, while system testing was conducted using Black Box Testing. The results show that the developed system can assist in managing product, customer, order, transaction, and sales report data in a computerized manner. The implementation of the Apriori algorithm provides information about relationships between products that are frequently purchased together. This information can be used as a consideration for promotional strategies, product bundling, and business decision-making. Black Box Testing results show that the tested system functions operate according to the specified requirements.
