Aug 2026 · Review of Business and Accounting Research · 1 citation

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of organizational climate on job satisfaction among employees at the Kutablang Subdistrict Office in Bireuen Regency. Organizational climate was selected as the focal predictor because, in public-sector agencies such as subdistrict offices, the internal working atmosphere is widely regarded as a key determinant of how civil servants perceive fairness, support, and meaning in their daily tasks. The population in this study consisted of all 32 employees at the Kutablang Subdistrict Office in Bireuen Regency. The sample taken in this study was all 32 employees of the Kutablang Subdistrict Office in Bireuen Regency because the subdistrict head/leader was not included in the research sample; a saturated (total) sampling technique was used given the relatively small size of the population. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that the organizational climate variable had a positive and statistically significant effect on job satisfaction at the Kutablang Subdistrict Office in Bireuen Regency. These findings suggest that strengthening the organizational climate through clearer structures, fairer reward systems, and warmer interpersonal relations can be a practical and low-cost strategy for public institutions seeking to raise employee job satisfaction without requiring large financial investment.
