Abstract

Simple Summary African swine fever virus (ASFV), porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), and porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) have spread across numerous regions worldwide. Mixed infections involving these pathogens are now detected with increasing frequency in clinical practice and have imposed serious financial burdens on pig production. In the present work, a TaqMan probe-based triplex real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) method was designed to identify ASFV, PCV2, and PCV3 in a single reaction. The newly developed assay exhibited strong analytical specificity, high detection sensitivity, and stable repeatability, indicating its practical value for clinical testing, epidemiological monitoring, and the prevention and management of these viral diseases.
