ABSTRACT
The behaviour of hollow reinforced concrete beam elements under earthquake force was studied and analyzed. The governing partial differential equation of the motion is the Euler-Bernoulli beam equation subjected to the simply supported boundary conditions. Aboodh transform method was used to solve the partial differential equation of the fourth order. The solution of the governing equation of hollow reinforced concrete beam elements under earthquake force was obtained and the behaviour of the beam elements under flexure and ductility were analyzed. The finding of the study revealed that the hollow reinforced concrete beams under flexure and ductility form a uniform support in order to reduce the impact of earthquake on structures which established the stability of the solution.

The aim of this paper was to numerically study the reinforced concrete external beam-column joints using DIANA FEA, on which experimental tests were conducted. The validation of results was conducted using experimental data, as the numerical model fully reproduced the geometry of the reinforced concrete external beam-c...
The relevance of the study is due to the need to assess the seismic resistance of buildings with defects caused by reinforcement corrosion to prevent their destruction under seismic impacts. The most common defect in reinforced concrete structures is corrosion damage of the working reinforcement, which not only reduces...

Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) can enhance post-cracking tensile resistance through fiber bridging across cracks; however, the torsional contribution of fibers is still not explicitly addressed in most design provisions. This study develops a three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) model in ABAQUS to ev...

The construction of concrete shell roofs in Mexico has declined owing to seismic vulnerability and slenderness effects. Traditional form-finding guarantees static equilibrium under self-weight alone and remains inadequate under seismic demand, where stiffness degradation and stress reversal govern the response. Three f...

The
paper presents an analytical methodology and a computational algorithm for evaluating the deformation parameters and crack width in reinforced concrete members subjected to eccentric compression combined with torsion. The members are fabricated from lightweight high-strength concrete. The proposed approach is...
