Lombricomposta y fitorregulador en el crecimiento de plantas de calabacita (Cucurbita pepo L.) en casa sombra
Abstract
Vermicomposts incorporated into the soil promote fruit development in vegetables. They also induce fruit set, which leads to increased crop yields. The present study was carried out aiming to know the influence of vermicompost (LB) and phytoregulator (AG) in the cultivation of zucchini, under shade house conditions. A randomized block experimental design with eight treatments and six repetitions was used. The treatments did not influence the number of leaves, and plant height was affected by the cultivar Chabela. The application of vermicompost and phytohormone promoted stem diameter in the Torino cultivar. The dry weight of the plant and number of fruits increased with the application of vermicompost in the Chabela cultivar. The application of the photoregulator promoted fruit weight in both cultivars, it also induced the yield of zucchini in the Torino cultivar.
