Abstract

This article examines the role of urban environmental monitoring in disease prevention. It presents an analysis of the environmental situation in Bishkek, including air, water, and soil pollution, and the impact of these factors on public health. Particular attention is paid to monitoring the concentration of fine particulate matter (PM2.5), which is one of the main health risks in urban areas. Based on statistical data and environmental research, the main sources of environmental pollution and their impact on the rising incidence of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases were identified. It was shown that systematic environmental monitoring allows for the identification of dangerous trends in environmental pollution, the prediction of environmental risks, and the development of effective disease prevention measures among the population.
