Abstract

This study reveals KaMYBD, a drought‐inducible MYB‐related transcriptional repressor from the xerophytic shrub Krascheninnikovia arborescens. Overexpression of KaMYBD enhances drought tolerance and coordinately promotes flavonoid and lignin accumulation. These findings highlight xerophytes as a valuable genetic resource for improving crop drought resilience.
