Methodological Approach to Assessing the Level of Financial Infrastructure Development in the Regions of the Russian Federation
Abstract
The article examines methodological approaches to assessing the level of financial infrastructure development in the regions of the Russian Federation under conditions of increasing regional differentiation and the need to improve the sustainability of regional economic systems. It is substantiated that existing approaches mainly focus on individual components of the financial system, including banking infrastructure, investment activity, budgetary sustainability and financial services, while no comprehensive methodology exists for assessing regional financial infrastructure as an integrated system. The purpose of the study is to develop a methodological approach to assessing the level of financial infrastructure development in Russian regions. The author proposes considering financial infrastructure as a system consisting of banking, investment, budgetary, digital and institutional components. A comprehensive system of indicators is developed, providing an integrated assessment of regional financial infrastructure. The proposed approach may be applied in regional monitoring, identification of regional disparities and development of regional policy measures aimed at strengthening economic sustainability.
