Abstract

The article examines the methodological support for assessing investment support for enterprise development in Ukraine, taking into account the challenges posed by the pandemic and the current war. The purpose of the study is to substantiate a comprehensive system of indicators for the effective management and development of domestic enterprises. It is determined that in times of crisis, the survival of enterprises requires radical decisions, ensured by the targeted use of investment resources. It is emphasized that the low competitiveness of Ukrainian companies, especially under current conditions, reduces their investment attractiveness, necessitating the development of appropriate approaches to assessing investment support. The relevant sources of financing for investment projects for enterprises in modern conditions are determined. The main groups of factors affecting investment attractiveness are identified, in particular, as financial, operational, institutional, and socio-economic. The main approaches and methods for assessing investment projects are systematized. When assessing investment attractiveness, it is proposed to focus on scientifically substantiated economic indicators while also considering informal criteria. An economic and analytical review of key methods for evaluating investment projects is provided, and their shortcomings in their application to the enterprise are outlined. The need to adapt approaches to industry-specific and modern business conditions is well-substantiated. The importance of taking into account informal criteria, such as social, reputational, and intellectual capital, as well as the level of corporate social responsibility, is emphasized. Investment security is defined as a multifactor indicator that integrates financial condition, operational efficiency, innovation potential, and foreign economic activity. Directions for improving the assessment of investment security are proposed, taking into account modern challenges, in particular the impact of martial law and the need for post-crisis economic recovery.
