Design of Direct Current Motor Servo Driver for Mechanical Automation Control
Abstract
In the field of mechanical automation control (MAC), DC motors are widely used as key actuators, and their servo drives play a vital role in meeting the high-precision, high-efficiency, and high-stability requirements of these equipment. This paper designs an overall scheme for a DC motor servo drive and a control system based on PID (proportional, integral, and differential) control. The system is then compared with a conventional drive. The results show that the experimental group has a response time of 1.3 to 1.7 seconds, an overshoot of 20% to 26%, and an efficiency of 90% to 94%. The control group has a response time of 3.5 to 4.2 seconds, an overshoot of 33% to 38%, and an efficiency of 80% to 85%. This indicates that MAC-based servo drives offer superior performance, contribute to improving the intelligence and automation level of industrial production, and have positive implications for promoting industrial modernization and technological progress.
