ETHODOLOGY FOR ENSURING MANUFACTURABILITY OF UAV WITH ULTRASONIC POSITIONING IN LIMINITED SPACE CONDITIONS

2025 · Reliability and Quality of Complex Systems · 0 citations

Abstract

Background. The manufacturability technique for UAVs with local positioning described in this paper can be used to coordinate several drones, allowing to correct their routes and avoid collisions in the local space while ensuring specified technical and economic feasibility. An important advantage of the proposed solution is its relatively low cost and easy setup, as well as its scalability: adding additional beacons allows to create a denser coverage, increasing the accuracy and reliability of positioning. Materials and methods. The principle of operation of this navigation system is based on the Time of Flight (ToF) method, in which the beacons alternately emit ultrasonic waves at a frequency of 40 kHz. The drone receives a signal from each beacon, measures its time of arrival and calculates the distance to the signal source. Thus, the exact location of the drone in space is determined based on the received data. Results and conclusions. The result of the work is the author's methodology for ensuring manufacturability at all major stages of production and operation, which positions the proposed solution for a wide range of special applications.
